Prague Sights, Sounds and Hotels
The extremely popular State Opera House was first opened in January of 1988 as the New German Theatre. The construction of this beautiful Renaissance style building commenced in 1983 as a theatre for the German Theatre Association. The theatre was rebuilt after the bombing of Prague during WWII and renamed the Smetana Theatre. A vast collection of exalted names have been hosted in the auditorium and today one can enjoy seasonal ballet and opera performances.
The centre of Prague city is a magical bubble of history, and a visit to Prague's State Opera House will certainly add to the pleasure. There are many quality Prague Hotels where you can relax after exploring this beautiful city.
